The specific strategies of a boss can be found on their respective page. You can bring a second player via Local Co-op mode into any of the boss fights. You can obtain three Gold Balan Statues from each Nega Boss fight by doing specific attacks with Costumes found in said Chapter. Lance's fight has three phases, two (1 and 3) being where you hit him three times, and one (2) where it transitions to the third phase, and you lose all the Costumes you brought into the boss battle yourself. You can also choose your desired Costume(s) before entering the level, the same occurs when you enter a Third Act.Īll Nega Bosses need three hits to be defeated, two Costume Crystals and Keys are provided in the boss fight, and if you lose the specific Costume while fighting, you can get another one when it spawns. You can exit the boss fight though the menu (except for Lance's). If you lose all your Costumes and get hit again, you will be sent back to the Isle of Tims, unlike other Acts. There are no checkpoints during the boss fight (also can be considered as an Act), so you can not change your Costume, exit the boss fight normally, or re-spawn. In total, there are twelve Nega Bosses and one other boss (Lance).Īfter completing and obtaining the two heart fragments from the Heart Trees, you can fight the Nega Boss of the chapter. Each of their composition also appears physically and often fits the theme of each Chapter. They are all composed of different Costumes from their respective Chapters (although very corrupted compared to what the Costumes were beforehand) to provide deadly attacks. ![]() Each one of them (except for Lance) are corruptions of the Inhabitants' hearts formed from a bad memory happening from the past. As their name implies, they are the bosses of the various Chapters in-game.
